Perfectly insanity

First of all Happy Valentine's day for you all!
I hope it was a happy one for everybody, I'm not really much of a fan of Valentine, to be honest.. but I do believe there is some poetry into having an special day to remind us how lucky we are in having people around us that love us and that we love back, for those how have friends, or love or both.

The post today is kinda anti valentine for no reason, I made this portrait back in december and now means more to me that back then.. thats why I decide to post it today...
The quote is from a Death Cab for cutie song, (frequently staying in my mind and my playlist) and much to do with the portrait.
The song is really sad because is about a relationship that is coming to an end(everybody can relate with that)...and how each of them knew that ¨the ice was getting thinner¨ between them.
Here is a part of the song:

¨...We're not the same, dear, as we used to be.
The seasons have changed and so have we.
There was little we could say,
and even less we could do
To stop the ice from getting
thinner under me and you....¨

Well... :)..hope you like it..
Great weekend everybody.
Mua!

Sasha Pivovarova in Numero

Happy Thursday !.. People the week is almost over!, mine was crazy how was yours?
I have a new idol and her name is Mary Oliver, no much time has passed since I first took a glance at her poems, since them its been love and love all the way!.
This illustration like many others lately represent a little bit of way I feel, and the text that  goes with it is a Mary Oliver poem called Wild Geese, the poem begins this way:
"You do not have to be good.
You do not have to walk on your knees
for a hundred miles through the desert, repenting. You only have to let the soft animal of your body
love what it loves."

And for the model, well  you all know her  very well, is amazing Sasha Pivovarova in a Numero spread for the 2007 september issue (pretty vintage ha!).
Lots of kisses!

Pink Obsession

Let me introduce you all to  Alice, does anybody remember the film Closer?. Well Natalie Portman portrayed this very beautiful and a bit of  crazy woman. Her look in the entire film is kind of quirky, very much with her personality. But when she puts on that  pink wig, history was made in the film industry.
It maybe my mood lately, but there is something about her eyes that for me reads  sadness, pure and rough sadness, and thats what makes it so special.
But well getting back to the pink wig, the last post also personifies pink, and I think I have a little obsession with the color. Not sure it would fit me, but it sure looks amazing on her.
Besos.

Heart looking soul

Merry Christmas!!
This illustration is actually a spring inspiration, wanted to make a character that represent that amazing floral feeling and energy that spring have.
I use watercolor, and ink to make it look very bright.
